Gas boiler

Perhaps this question has been asked before, but I couldn't find anything when I did a search. I have a company installing a gas bolier for me and basically they have said I can choose whatever boiler I want installed. They have told me what they would recommend, but I have spoken to so many different people who all say different boilers are the best. Now I don't know what one to choose. Any idea what ones are the best? By best I mean most reliable.
Thanks for any help.

its a bit strange that a company would say that you can choose whatever you want! i normally ask what the most important factors are for a customer with there new boiler (price, performance, size etc etc) and then give them a couple of recommendations based on what they want, normally one cheaper and one more expensive one, then i explain why the more expensive one is better and the choose the cheaper one anyway!!!

they should know a lot more about boilers than you so why would they want you to pick it, probably wont work and they will say its not our fault, you picked the boiler!!!

Thanks for replying. They have recommended Glowworm or Vaillant. But I read somewhere that Baxi and Potterton are really good. Some other companies I had in recommended Alpha. Its just really confusing knowing which one to go for.

Vaillant and Worcester are the top two boilers to look out for.

I got a Glowworm 30cxi at my premises which is just over a year old and not had any problems. Glowworm is part of the Vaillant Group so these boilers are just as good.

Good morning: If you want a quality boiler with a 5 year parts/labour warranty and a 10 year warranty on the stainless steel heat exchanger try a Viessmann installed by a Viessmann trained CORGI.

How do you find a Viessmann trained CORGI?
I have looked up the Viessmann UK site and they show some, but very few near me.
The first one on the list quoted me £5,000 for a Viessmann Vitodens 333 including installation and the second one on the list does not do it (strange?).
The next ones are people like leakbuster which do not seem to really be specialist installers, just from the name!

Is there any place I can find a few more installers?

Good afternoon: Call Viessmann...hopefully they have an up to date list...we have 7 here in East Kent (soon to be 8 after the OH finishes his training next month)...some regions are probably better served than others.
