Just going through my stash and having a sort out - found two time delay cleansing balm unused - & one used but i had allergic reaction to it which is why never used the others. On the side of the box it says
Guarantee" if u r not totally happy with this product u can return it for a full refund."
However i have no receipt and ive noticed the bar code has a penned cross on it - so i must have got it reduced from boots hence buying 3.
Does anyone know would I be able to take it back - i dont mind a swap for hand stuff rather than money back - how would they know how much to give back anyway ?
What would be the best thing to say seems a shame not to use it - but a good lesson not to buy things cos their reduced.! ( will we ever learn)0 -
I don't think megapixels has anything to do with good closeups. My old Kodak EasyShare DX4530 5.0mp takes great closeups -- it's what I used to take pics of my engagement ring for family. Also takes great pics in general and great vids (but is a little big by today's standards, not bad though). My new Kodak EasyShare M763 from Boots is 7.2mp and takes crap closeups and grainy zoom shots (this is the one I got with points, and knew it would be for when I just want something small in my bag -- my old Kodak will do when I need better shots!).
Best bet on finding out what takes good ultra-closeups is to read reviews on Amazon and camera review sites. If you want a camera from boots, just copy the type it is and paste it into Amazon and see what reviewers there say. May take a bit of time, but seeing as you don't have what you need in the many cameras you already have, it would be worth it to find the one you really want.
I have the Kodak Easyshare P850 and I love it. It's big & chunky as it is a digital SLR but takes brilliant photos, the clarity on close ups is amazing. I think the smaller pocket ones are very good and neat, but mainly made for convenience, and easy to slip into a bag or pocket.~ What goes around comes around ~0 -

Hold it up to the light and see how much is actually in there. They are only half full, or half empty (depending on how you are feeling)
What a con.  I know they never fill these things up completely but I have never seen any quite like this.
My guess is you get the actual 50ml it says it is, but they put it in a bigger tube than required. I have a 50ml Soltan once, and it's smaller than the No7 tubes which also say they have 50ml (I think). They're trying to be a bit tricky with the over-sized tube so you think you're getting more than other brands, but you probably do get the full amount on the label.0 -
Hi Skibster
Thanks for the reply. I will look at all of those options. I like the look of the fuji(and because I have used fuji before and they are easy to use).
I am not a camera buff or anything but I want something that takes good clear close ups(for ebay!!). I have about 8 digi cameras(mostly bought on ebay) 3 fuji, 2 samsung, hp and olympus. Howeber, none of them do a really good close up(of say a ring in detail). Is it the mega pixels that make it clearer? Sorry to be dim!!!!!!
We did look at all off the ones in Boots but I cant tell just from looking at them, apart from the nice colours!! Lol.
wee k
I think it's macro settings you need for close ups so you might want to look for cameras with this feature0 -
Popped in quickly this morning and bought
Natural Collection Apple & Lime Body Scrub reduced to £1.50 and got the gwp bag no problem.
No till beep:T So a small spend for a change:D0 -
Maybe the ASM's post will help?
MoneySaving NewbieJoin Date: May 2008Post Count: 3Thanked 16 Times in 3 PostsThere are blanket reductions across all stores, then there are layered reductions where a store will be put into one category of reductions for that item, that is based on how the product sold recently. For instance with the photo albums if they sell great in store A they will remain full price, sell ok in store B then they will be reduced by 30%, hardly sell in store C then they will be reduced by 50-70% and if have very limited sales they will be reduced by 90% or more.I noticed recently on the last thread there was a question regarding the fluctuation of no7 items. There are 28 stores where certain lines are sold for a higher price. This is simply and perhaps not fairly, because those flagship stores can basically sell those items for more. Also I have seen a few posts about website/store price differences. This is due to boots.com being a seperate company. Again perhaps not fairly, if it is felt that an item can be easily sold for a higher price it will be. However, one advantage is that many of the 50-75% reductions will not apply in store.Hope that helps clarify a few things
Thank you broclo - that would be why I couldn't find the post - I had the OP wrong! I have an awful memory - I blame it on pregnancy - it got worse with each! Thanks again.x0 -

Hi everybody-just a short message to say thanks to everybody for their kindness & concern about my sister.:A Thanks for all your messages &pm's .I'm pleased to say she is alot better and is back from hospital today.
I had to ring boots about it who were very sympathetic and have assured me that they will be contacting the company who supply the organic range of sandwiches so that they can look into what might have caused the reaction and also to make sure that the packaging is clearly marked in future for those who suffer nut allergys-I will fill you all in as soon as I hear from them.
I'm off to collect her now.
P.s-she is well enough to demand a bottle of chanel coco mademoiselle with my points:eek: Apparently it is my fault for dragging her into boots that day and the perfume will be considered as compensation!Love can tame the wildest0 -

Can someone please confirm that if I meet the conditions, I can get two NC GWP's in one purchase rather than having to do 2 shops? Am off to Boots soon and won't have too much time to do loads of shops!0
