Thanks for the list SKMS, that really helps
Just reading the posts about Boots rooms, oh I wish I had a spare room or even space for an extra wardrobe....
On second thoughts though it would probably be a bad idea. My stash is down the side of my bed in "several" big square deep bags with handles (so that I can lift them out of the way to get to the drawers under the bed) It's not visible from the door, though the yoga ball balanced on the top kinda gives it away :rotfl:
Plus there's an overflow basket of "things for the family to use" such as toothbrushes, shower gels etc etc etc.
I made the mistake of buying quite a few things in the 75% off sale after Christmas but with the exception of one, my family and friends birthdays are all between November and January so no hope of it being cleared until the end of the year.
Next January I'm going to try and resist the temptation of the sale and just [strike]hoard everything I see throughout the year[/strike] collect a few selected items :rotfl:
Now I'm off to buy a Daily Express or two...0 -
Can anyone remember who was an "expert" on cameras? My Bday is next Friday and DD is buying a new one for me.
K
I don't know if you meant me; I'm no expert, I just know how to do the research, lol. And I haven't done heavy research lately because I'm waiting to buy the next "real" camera for a couple years. I did buy a digital recently at Boots, but that wasn't a serious camera -- that's because it was cute and small and I had the points to pay for it, lol.
Here are a couple cameras, though, that I saved in my Amazon wish lists (UK and US -- I'd probably buy mine when in the U.S. as they are usually cheaper). I meant to look into them more closely if I decided to buy a camera on my next trip to the States, though I probably won't for awhile now thanks to the freebie Boots camera. You can check on Amazon.co.uk to see if these are sold here too, and read the reviews on both sites (the U.S. site often has more reviews):
Canon IXUS 70
(UK site)
Canon PowerShot SD1000
(looks similar to the first camera)
Olympus Stylus 790SW
Sony Cybershot DSCW55
Fujifilm Finepix S7000 -

2 weeks ago I only had 600pts(lol) and now I've got 4458:T thanks to all you great ladies. I don't want to spend them, they're too precious:rotfl: :rotfl:
Im saving mine for the BIG January sale :j . Would have loved to have got more stuff this year but post Christmas it wasn't financial practicalBut I love having a stash of goodies - It's great that I rarely get caught out if I need a pressies for someone and I'm always able to donate to the school raffles and stuff. I have £60 ish on just now but Im aiming to have at least £100 by then. I only got collecting "seriously" about Feb so I'm hopeful I'll get a nice wee total. Before I read this thread I used my points when I had about £20, but now it'sl ovely to see them grow.
m:j:j:jmummybear3I will declutter, I will declutter............meaning less to clear away and more time to spend with my lovely family0 -

Does anyone know if any Bristol Boots are stocking the reduced items, especially the s&g and natural collection?TIA
Hi,
I bought some reduced Nat Coll in Bristol Broadmead yesterday morning, not much left though but several of the gwp cosmetic bags - wish I had known that I could have got two with my £6.25 purchase!
I did not see any S&G reduced.

Hi Skibster
Thanks for the reply. I will look at all of those options. I like the look of the fuji(and because I have used fuji before and they are easy to use).
I am not a camera buff or anything but I want something that takes good clear close ups(for ebay!!). I have about 8 digi cameras(mostly bought on ebay) 3 fuji, 2 samsung, hp and olympus. Howeber, none of them do a really good close up(of say a ring in detail). Is it the mega pixels that make it clearer? Sorry to be dim!!!!!!
We did look at all off the ones in Boots but I cant tell just from looking at them, apart from the nice colours!! Lol.
wee kMoney is only of any use if you can spend it!:cool:0 -
Quite a few sanctuary Lomi Lomi bits half price.
Also med amazon handwash reduced to £2.25
A botanics bathing gift set was half price (£7.50)
Some EA hand creams half price (£1)
The reduction is on the SEL, no labels on the items themselves.0 -

I don't think megapixels has anything to do with good closeups. My old Kodak EasyShare DX4530 5.0mp takes great closeups -- it's what I used to take pics of my engagement ring for family. Also takes great pics in general and great vids (but is a little big by today's standards, not bad though). My new Kodak EasyShare M763 from Boots is 7.2mp and takes crap closeups and grainy zoom shots (this is the one I got with points, and knew it would be for when I just want something small in my bag -- my old Kodak will do when I need better shots!).
Best bet on finding out what takes good ultra-closeups is to read reviews on Amazon and camera review sites. If you want a camera from boots, just copy the type it is and paste it into Amazon and see what reviewers there say. May take a bit of time, but seeing as you don't have what you need in the many cameras you already have, it would be worth it to find the one you really want.0 -
If anyone has bought the No7 Protect & Perfect Anti Aging Facial Sun protection currently on BOGOF
Hold it up to the light and see how much is actually in there. They are only half full, or half empty (depending on how you are feeling)
What a con.  I know they never fill these things up completely but I have never seen any quite like this.~ What goes around comes around ~0 -
