No nettienoo, nothing's your fault at all. :A You did what we all want to do, find a glitch, and report back on it.

People are on their own after that and must take responsibilty for their own actions.

So once again a little cloud has descended upon this thread because there have been complaints about the chat.
Here's my two pennies worth, for what it's worth.

This is a discussion board, the glitches that have been discovered have come about through "chat", ie: discussion.
CPG works very hard to keep the first post updated with all the latest info, if anyone has a right to complain that things are getting lost amidst the chat then it should be her, I think it says a lot that it's not CPG who is complaining.

Everyone who posts here on a regular basis is "guilty" of chat, myself included, but I do think it's that which gives this board its charm and personality. Yes, I used to get mildly irked by some chatty posts, namely during the post Christmas sale on .com, when there were pages of "good mornings" etc. but that's only because I wasn't interested in the .com sale. What's irrelevant to me is important to someone else, let's live and let live. It would never cross my mind to complain about it; I had to scroll quickly through a few pages each day but so what? If there was no chatting allowed then I would simply stop participating, I think many others would too and then we would all lose out.

I have never seen a question deliberately ignored on this thread, even the most obvious query is answered in a friendly way. If people were receiving snappy "read the first post" replies like the ones I read in other parts of MSE then I could understand it, but that's not how it is, everyone is welcomed.

OK, now here comes my bit to those who complain; this is not a branch of Boots, nobody here is under any obligation to provide you with a service, we are just a bunch of people who are having a bit of a chat about some bargains we have discovered. If you just want to quickly know the latest then read the first post, if you want to join in then that's great, you are more than welcome, if you don't then that's fine too. I don't think it's the chat that's killing this thread, it's just a minority who complain who seem to be dampening everyones enthusiasm lately.

Seriously, it wouldn't bother me one bit if this thread was listed under Moneysavers Arms, the chat could continue and nobody could complain about it. What does bother me is that complaining about chatting could eventually drive this thread underground, then everyone would lose out.

It's interesting to note that the complainers have once again generated pages of posts which they would probably say are irrelevant to the thread

I joined in that little chat too, personally I thought the whole thing was a hoot, a bit of light relief. I hope we have many more moments like that, the world would be a sorry place if we took life seriously all the time

START WHINE MODE: I don't want to go to the money savers arms, it is full of scary people who bite and bark if someone asks something, unless it is their waffle buddy and i'm scared that if someone leaves the door open the nasty mens may come in STOP WHINE MODE

However, there is a point to my post(:eek: )

I personally believe if chat can not be tolerated and that if suitable avenue is not found for it, this subject will come up time and time again

I also think that saying chat should be cut down is not a real solution and not workable

And yes I know I'm adding to the chat, but surely there is a way to sort this situation?

I love finding/sharing glitches, it's fun:D it just turned out to be a better glitch than I first thought/found (does that make sense?) thanks to nettienoo70 and her SA for making it a better glitch and of course thanks to SK for being our brave guinea pig:rotfl:

I have the answer. Why don't peeps who dislike the chat start their own little thread;) ?

I can't wait to check the ACM tomorrow for new vouchers:j hope we get some good ones. I might pop into a store on my way to work...then again maybe not. Last time I did that I was 1/2hour late:eek:

:T Couldn't agree more with all of this. That's just what I was thinking with people's complaints that they 'couldn't find the glitches in amongst the chat' - er, well the fact that you're looking through the whole thread rather than just the 1st page is because you're looking for chat about the glitches. You can't have it both ways - no chat and discussion on how to work/what's involved in the glitches. Those who don't like the thread - don't read it and lose out. Simple.
