Just to warn you all that I applied online (and was accepted for) an A&L card.
When I rang this morning to confirm whether I had to list all the BT's on the Credit Agreement form, they informed me all Bt's are subject to 2% max £35 unless the application is done in a branch.
Unfair!
Edit: See update below - ALL BT's are subject to fees now.

Just rang them...on the phone for 15 mins and they refused to budge. They are saying ALL applications no matter how they are done are subject to 2%.
I was quoting them from the T&C saying they MAY charge a fee, she kept saying that has changed in the last month and when I asked when don't they charge, apparently they always do now. Told her to tell her manager I received a document only yesterday saying MAY and she said they had all been briefed due to the number of calls and they were all aware old literature was going out. I kept on but she said there was no way of getting out of the charges.
Grrrrrrrrr........that cost me...."Life is like a game of cards. Dee....see Martin's post copied here....may be able to help you? Got an apptmt today to try to get written re-assurance (on the applc. if poss) before we apply for A&L.
'There is no way of Joe Public checking. That's the problem. It's an outrageous situation. All i can see is we are checking regularly the situation with the powers that be. If what happens to you or customers service differs, go back and fight your corner (often different operatives disagree with each other).
If there is a stalemate - i will of course do my best to push the relevant provider into backing up their statement to MSE, on individual cases if necessary (provided all other avenues have first been tried) ..... and make sure they honour what they've said
