Atlantic Electric And Gas

I Received A Letter On 23rd May 2008 Informing Me That Atlantic Had Raised Their Prices On 1st April 2008.therefore,for The Last 8 Weeks I Have Unknowingly Been Paying More For My Electric And Gas Without Being Given The Option To Switch.however, In The Smallprint On The Back It Does Say I Have 10 Days To Notify Them That I Wish To Switch And They Will Charge Me The Old Rate.i Suggest Everyone With Atlantic Choses This Option!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You have the option to stay and pay the higher rates

Or leave and pay the old rates and go to a supplier with equally as high prices.

Still the cheapest but surely this isnt legal. Its like booking a holiday and paying for it, only to get a bill for fuel surcharges two months after you get back from it.

Yes it is legal as they have to let you know about any price changes within a set time. You are also given the option of switching and paying up to your final reading at the old rate. Why is this unfair?
