White guttering

We are just finishing our extension and I can't decide whether to go for white (round) guttering or black. The facia board is white and so is the rest of the extension, so white would match and hopefully make the guttering less obvious. But I was wondering if it gets dirty easily and if black may look better in the long run? Plus more often than not you see black guttering anyway. Any ideas?

I always go for black guttering on white fascia unless my customers say otherwise.I think it looks better but black guttering fades in time.White guttering does show dirt more so it's a trade off.If it were me i would go for the black guttering.

My next door had white facia and black guttering it was rectangle in shape the guttering looked like old type guttering but in plastic, it looks great

I would have that on my house when I can afford it

Thats what I was beginning to think. I guess its because we live in an old house and older houses traditionally has cast iron pipes, which were usually black. Think I'll go for black, its cheaper too!

i thinking white looks great, but as it ages and grime accumulates..... I'd go for black too.

I personally feel people will always see it as white plastic, however if it is black it becomes just guttering, without it being thought of as cheap white plastic - if you get my drift.

I had my facia done in white and guttering in black and it looks fab, the rest of the neighbours, as im mid terrace, have white or grey and they look really grubby!

Having spent most of last Saturday cleaning white guttering I'd definitely say go for Black!

Cheap black guttering will be GREY in a few years.
Spend a bit more and get Terrain guttering.
