kitchen worktops

I'm after a length of kitchen worktop to put into our utility room, but most companies I've gone to have a minimum order value of something like £400!!

I've found that screwfix have some, but not in the kind of style we require, e.g. black granite effect. Can anyone recommend any places that would sell worktops without a minimum order value?

TIA

Dave

  • Have you tried B&Q? The only limitations they tend to have is that it is a three week lead time for some worktops.

Howdens are another place who hold a huge range, we got our new solid beech one by just walking in and they had stock through the back.
  • Went to B&Q at the weekend and they have a minimum order value of £400 as quoted in their catalogue and from their website they only seem to do packs of 2. I'm after more of a breakfast bar type as I need the extra length to cover my appliances.

Do you know where Howdens are located? It would seem that their website is down at the moment.

    Cheers

  • Try the YellowPages under kitchens or builders merchants, I'm afraid I only know where my Aberdeen branch is. I assume they ARE nationwide and not just a Scottish company.
