I know it's not very OS but as I believe them to be more environmentally friendly I only ever buy the glass bottles, and have no problems getting the last dregs out of them.
Sorry have I missed something ? Why aren't glass bottles O/S
Its even more O/S to make your own sauce.Rebel No 220 -
Hold the bottle upside down with cap on and spin quickly with your wrist in a circle. The contents should collect on the sides and slide down the bottle. It works best with glass, but it still works with plastic too.0

As Tomato Ketchup is a "Non-Newtonian fluid"
best thing to do is make sure the lid is clicked tightly shut (don't want a re-enactment Of "Blood bath at betty's") and hold the opposite end of the click top, raise it up to your shoulder and flick it quickly down, do this a few times this should force all the sauce to the farthest point (the opening),
:D
This works for me, tooI then do the "bottle balance" trick, and finally the swishing the bottle with warm water and into pasta sauce
Can you still get ketchup in glass bottles

I use a bit of vinegar to make it a little runny and then i stand him upside down to get the sauce to the opening, i dont do it with the plastic bottles as we tend to have the glass bottles(less in the bin then)No Links in Signature by site rules - MSE Forum Team 20

Tesco value, 27p-ish for a big glass bottle last time I checked. Tastes really good too, and I used to be a ketchup nazi - heinz or daddies only!0 -
I always buy tomato sauce in glass bottles and decant into an old plastic bottle (must have been on offer at the time, so long ago I can't remember). It's so much cheaper in the glass bottles.0

Because the huge plastic bottles are normally cheaper gram for gram than the titchy glass bottles. They never do special offers on the glass bottles as they do the squeezy bottles. We only use Heinz, we're not ketchup snobs, that's just the brand we all prefer the taste of.
