We ordered an item from these people totalling over £100. Found it somewhere else who were able to deliver straight away instead of waiting 3 weeks so we exercised the right to cancel the order within 24 hrs (trading standards states that you have a 'cooling off' period of 7 days with online transactions). Despite cancellation the company still took the payment a couple of days later.
8 wks later & after many mails to find out what was going on, we had an e-mail stating that the item would be despatched by recorded delivery later that week.
No item arrived and we e-mailed once again stating that, despite fact cancelling the order in the first place, we hadn't recieved any goods and please could we have the tracking no.
We've heard nothing since but found many different companies attached to the address of 38 station road, hayes:
Manrup fireworks - 020 85813055, world wines - 0208 589 9184, jasbir singh (wholesale wines) - 02085732316.
These are as well as Demfings - a lot of different companies & phone numbers, huh?! Yet funnily enough no phone number for Demfings themzelves
I'd suggest anyone who has had problems with them to see their local trading standards officer, enough complaints will make them investigate, also seek legal advice and a nice letter to watchdog should dig the worm out!
*MOD - these numbers were readily available from a search engine, just in case you delete them!*
