Over 65s Long Stay Travel Insurance

Hi all, I've persuaded my still fit and healthy parents aged 67 and 68 to have the holiday of a lifetime - 2 nights in Dubai followed by 14 night cruise from New Zealand to Australia, then a 4 month stay with my brother in Australia. However I'm really struggling to find an insurance company to cover this - Moneysupermarket, confused.com, Saga have no suitable policies to offer. Most have a limit of 90 days for over 65s, some exclude cruises. However it's a condition of the visa that they have full medical cover. So far the only 2 policies I've found that look suitbale are one at £1914!!! and one for £532 (better but I've not checked the small print yet!)
I'm really astonished at the change - they had 6 months in Australia last year and I had no problem insuring them for around £250.
Can anyone suggest something better?
Thanks for reading....
