extra legroom seats on Ryanair?

Hi

I've booked some flights with Ryanair to Rome and have selected for the "check in online" service.

Does anyone know if we will be able to get extra legroom seats? and how much they are? Hubby is 6'4"

Thanks
Jennie

It's called being first to run up onto the plane. Sorry, but thats how the bucket airlines work
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Unless you request one of the seats at the emergency exit. Those have to be restricted to "Fit, able bodied" people. If you get their early and ask at the gate before you board they may let you sit there.

Depends on how full the flight is though.

I am 6'4 and have flown 2-3 hour trips on Ryan Air on regular seats no problem, its a rat race and far too stressful to worry if you will get one or not and they will not just let you sit in a more legroom seat juts because you are 6'4 ...like previous said first come first seated !

Ryanair's planes are better for tall people than most cheap/charter airlines, as their seats do not recline.

Totaly untrue, you can not request any seat on a bucket flight:rolleyes:

  • I think anyone who feels that Ryanair give a damn about their customers comfort is grossly ill informed!

At least they know what their customer service is worth lol!

I maintain that Ryanair actually don't want people to fly. They want them to book their tickets and just not turn up. Quite a good business model really!!

    Hi Everyone

If that's the case then it's fine, I don't mind and my hubby will be fine. I was just wondering, that's all.

    Thanks

Even that doesn't always work. I've regularly flown on their flights to and from Prestwick and these are often undersubscribed meaning they don't always let you sit where you want anyway. Often they cordon off the seats at the front so as to get the weight distribution right. I'm often one of the first onto the plane and can't get one of those seats at the front because of this. Agreed though - that's bucket airlines for you. You get what you pay for! ;)
Yeah, whatever. I'm a grown up, I can take it...
