Moss Bros Suit Hire & Wedding Rings

Does anyone know of anywhere online where we can get discount from suit hire for a wedding?

Also, are there any online wedding ring retailers that can be recommended?

    Hi,

Goldfinger rings have been recommended on here a few times, not tried them myself but i think i might check them out for our wedding rings.

I think they visit your home with a massive selection of rings.

Smile and be happy, things can usually get worse!
  • Try www.formalaffair.co.uk/ we've used them for our wedding in a couple of weeks and we got a largeish discount, various branches around england and wales. Price was about £80 for suit, shirt, crevat, cufflinks, wastecoat, tiepin and insurance. Only things not included were shoes and hat.

As for rings depending where you are in the country a trip to the jewellry quarter in Birmingham might be in order. We got 2 18 carat white gold rings made to measure for £160 each.
Never argue with an idiot. He will bring you down to his level and beat you with experience.

  • From personal advice (our best man's wedding, two suits were missing on the day - chaos!) (at our wedding the 10 year olds suit was wrong size despite being fitted!)

Ensure everyone goes to get measured by the shop and keep the measurements on a card to refer back to later on in case there is a problem with sizes. It might also be worth sending them all off to a tailor on the pretence of getting suits made just to check the measurements are correct.

Too often I hear of disasters with the suit hire companies, being quite a crucial item for weddings to get right you really need to prepare in advance.

I would also recommend trying to pick the suits up in advance. I organised to collect the suits on the Thursday for my Saturday wedding and am I pleased I did so. When I got them home I checked each measurements against the card measurements I kept, and found the trousers for my nephew were totally out. I called my sister 100 miles away and asked her if she could find the latest trousers she had bought for her son and I went the store in my town and measured them up against the trousers I had from the suit hire company, it was a joke. I then purchased the trousers in the store took them in to the suit hire company and demanded they get the right size in then took back the trousers I purchased for a refund. The right trousers were sent for from HQ and on route to the reception venue on the Friday afternoon to do last minute preparations I collected the trousers from the back of the store and didn't have any problems on the day with them.

Of all my friends who have been married over the last year, only one has stated they didn't have any problems with suit hire. I am so pleased that no one looked uncomfortable or out of shape in the wedding photos and that the preparation ahead of the day ensured a stress free event.

    Good luck
