I've only just realised that you've withdrawn, I'm sorry you felt you wanted to do it, there really wasn't need.

Just for the record, there haven't been any direct links to the competition or the referrers board for 3 days now (and I have now realised a couple before that were quickly pulled without me being told) but votes have still come in for both dogs which shows the general support shown to both MSE'ers and to be honest there were lots of other MSE'ers also posting the link as well on both DFW and the Comping Inn.

I actually only started asking for votes 10 or 12 days ago and to be honest I didn't think I stood a hope in hell of catching up but I have people on other forums outside MSE voting for him through friends and my Mum, so it's not just MSE'ers who have been choosing.

Other than the Daily DFW chat where I (and others!) posted the link to the referral site (the same as was done in the Comping Inn by a number of people), I posted just 1 link in 2 threads - once, both times because I was asked about it by other MSE'ers. (one thread was the live on £4000 a year one and the other was the Slimming World DFW thread)

I was never formally asked not to do this and I was never contacted by MSE mods etc otherwise I wouldn't have done it from the first time I realised I'd broken the rules of link posting (rather than the rules of the competition which I've never broken).

It was only when a whole thread was pulled the day before yesterday (I understand other MSE'ers were posting the link, I was at work so I don't know) that the board guide said she thought she had realised the problem.

I was still asking for votes as I didn't realise you'd withdrawn.

Please re-enter next time - it seems a shame that we both worked hard and you withdrew at the last hurdle - it would have been just as easy to re-email everyone and ask them to start voting again, but good luck if you decide to enter again.
