The Compers Inn - Part 3

I don't post very often 'cos I don't get much time & I tend to spend that comping (plus I'm a bit shy) but I'm brassed off today that Toniq or anyone should feel the need to leave this community.

I do use the comps ending thread because I stopped comping for a few months at the end of last year & the start of this one & I've never managed to catch up again. They are a great resource & a huge help, particularly for new compers, and I've pointed a number of my friends in that direction when they were starting out.

The point of this ramble is that, when you use the comps ending thread you rely on the generosity of others who give their time & effort to create the threads & you MUST allow for human (& techie) fallibility when you do so. If others snipe & sneer for whatever reason It affects us all.

Toniq please reconsider & ignore the others.

Then report their links, abuse will remove them if they deem it unfair ( which they should as they have done so with yours)


Tit for tat is not the way forward, but rules are rules and it should apply to everyone

someone else can do my days in august, i realise the same individuals had issues with me volunteering for the ending lists, i didnt do it for thanks ( which obviously they use but never acknowledge ), i done i because i enjoyed comping. But i cant comp in such a hostile atmosphere, where people lie for there own ends. Ive had a fab time till recent but cant post comps with all this crap going on. Im not paranoid other msers have alerted me to the " drive me out of mse campaign " several times. Wish u all well. Sorry winjackie and bucks for leaving those days for u to fill.

I am posting this here in defence as I am not sure why you have brought this here from the comp ending list.

I do not normally use the comp ending threads myself, but what with the bingo :rolleyes: have fallen a few pages behind so thought I had better check I hadn't missed any. In my post I stated no offence I was just bringing it to your attention as to my knowledge I thought you were using a program and I thought my post was helping you
I am not sure what has gone, one minute you thanked me then less than an hour later you have come out with this. I am not sure what you are indicating, but I have sent you no PM's, left any other messages and to be honest I am completely baffled at your reaction

and it's true. It would be a big loss to MSE if you were to go. Not only because of the immense amount of work you do in finding and posting comps but also for the comfort and support you always offer when needed. Obviously I do not know all the background to what has happened but the Comp ending lists were never intended to be a formal list of ALL comps but just an informal help and you would need to be superhuman to not miss some. Don't let this push you out from something you like doing.
