Free Insulation For Your Home To People Receiving Certain Benefits

Hi

I found this on the Gingerbread website for single parent families. I don't know if there are any catches but thought it might help someone (don't need insulation myself)! Sorry if I have put it in the wrong place.

Free insulation for your home

Did you know that you could be losing over half your warmth through your loft space and your walls? That means that you are losing money too. Southern Electric is offering free home insulation, worth up to £700, to people receiving certain benefits. The free insulation offer applies to free cavity wall insulation and/or free loft insulation (in lofts where there is currently no insulation). This means cheaper energy bills and a warmer home.

This scheme is available in Northern Ireland too. You have to be in receipt of an income-related benefit. Those on CTC in receipt of a tax exemption certificate also qualify.
