How much does van insurance cost?

I'm trying to get some idea of the cost of van insurance for a friend without having to get a personalised quote - the vehicle has not been purchased yet and all of the websites I've looked seem to want full details.
Does anyone know if its possible to get a rough idea of how much it would cost to insure a van without having to put in all the personal details into a search engine and having people contact me about it?
He's thinking about an Astra van or similiar size about 10 years old.
It would be kept on a city street (Glasgow).
No claims discount is zero as he hasn't had a car policy in his own name before - although he has driven for more than 12 years.
