Replacing Polycarbonate Roof in Conservatory

Hi all, hoping somone can help.
We recently moved to a new house with a lean to type conservatory with a polycarbonate roof. The roof was extremely dirty so I tried to clean it but somehow managed to make it leak !!! as you can imagine, today's been great. By the look of the ton of mastic on teh edges, it looks like it's been a problem in the past. Anyway, it's very difficult to get to the seal outside to reseal but to be honest it's still so horrid that I want to replace it altogether as parts of it are black inside ugh!
Does anyone know how easy it is to do ? Ladders won't reach the middle, so how would I go about doing it ? Any help you can give would be appreciated, I'd really like to change it. Someone's obviously put it up before (albeit bodged) so it must be possible, thanks in advance

You work from one end to the other from inside the conservatory so you only have the last capping to do from the outside.0

Yep,that's the way it is done. Some other things to consider are:-
Make sure you get the right sheet thickness.
Make sure you fit it the right way up.
Make sure the ends are taped(there is a different tape for the top and bottom)
Make sure you fit an end enclosure to each sheet, properly sealed with the correct silicone.
A polycarbonate supplier will be able to advise you on these things and cut the sheets to size for you.0
