Is there technology available to scan slides to pc and then transfer them to Jpegs ?
I know nothing about this subject !

I'm using an Epson Perfection 4180 Photo scanner to do this. It isn't a dedicated slide scanner but will scan up to 4 transparencies at a time in a special slide holder. I find it a bit slow doing 4 so usually scan one at a time. It will also scan A4 sheets, and photo negatives. I've had it for a few months and am very pleased with it. The resolution is more than adequate for home use and the files can be saved as JPEGs. I do find the Epson software a little user-unfriendly and some trial and error is required to get the best results but once you have mastered the scanning procedure, its worth it.
