I have ripped some of my cds onto my laptop and have made some mixed discs up using windows media player, so i have a variety on 1 disc but when i play on car cd player i do not get the track details on display (song title). I know its possible cause friends do it. Can anyone advise me of how to do it?
Thanks in advance

  • not wishing to hijack this but I've a problem when buring using MP too.

I burnt about 15 albums onto a DVD and named each track, but I did this once they were burnt onto the hard drive using Explorer, any way. When it plays in my car it plays in alphabetical order nad not track order? Is this something to do with teh way that I have burnt it?

    Advice would be great please.

    Thanks..

Insert numbers at the beginning of the filenames, e.g. 01 trackname.mp3, 02 trackname.mp3, etc...

Must be a common problem as the ripping prog I use can insert the numbers automatically (and names them automatically too from the freedb database).

That's a good idea. It's a pain having to manually write the track names as I can't get them form web as I don't have a phone line!
