Days Out In Chichester??

Hi

We're off to Haven in Chichester in mid July and just wondered if anyone knew of any good cheap days out we could go to or printable vouchers we could use as the Haven park we're going to is quite small and we wanted to keep our daughter (9) amused for the mid week break.

Any ideas greatly appreciated :)

    Hi
Thx for all of your replies. Were thinking of going to Portsmouth for the day, beach and butterfly museum also sound great and also had a look at The Nags Head as its hubbies birthday on the wednesday so was looking for a nice pub lunch for the 5 of us.
Had a quick look on the Brit Trips as i've got loads of points left but couldn't see anything nearby,or am i missing something? The only pub lunch i could see was the Rising Sun which wasn't too far - anyone been?

The Rising Sun is on the main road from Chichester to Bognor Regis at North Bersted. Meals are really good, and some of the childrens meals are a little different to the usual childrens meals. Has a nice garden too.

Walkers brit trips have free family entry to Pulborough Brooks, an RSPB Nature Reserve, for 5 points.

Also get a 2 for 1 lunch at The Labouring Man at Pulborough for 10 Brit points.

Thats going to be a day out for me some time, as I haven't been to Pulborough Brooks for many years.

The Haven site, assuming its Church Farm, is in Pagham, and close to the seaside town of Bognor, complete with pier and amusement arcades.

Butlins is always good for a day out for children. Discount vouchers are sometimes available in the local press. Will keep a look out.

    Hope this helps

Thanks for that - Yep the haven site we're going to is Church Farm,a samller site that combe haven which is why we wanted a few days out planned.
Both pub lunches sound just what we're looking for, just wanted recommendations before we went there,so thanks for that.
Also,Pulborough Brooks sounds great for my daughter for a cheap day out.
Not really sure about taking her for a day out in Butlins though - would cost a fortune on the arcades etc...unless as you say i can find some discount codes.
Thanks everyone whose posted - really appreciate it :)

If you have Tesco clubcard vouchers you can use them for days out in Portsmouth for the Historic Dockyard and the new Spinnaker Tower.

The Butterfly Gardens at Earnley also have a Noahs Ark, with small animals and reptiles.

There are sometimes local discount vouchers for Butlins. If you PM me your address I will post any vouchers I can find within the next couple of weeks. You can then decide if you want to go. It's not all arcades, although it is a few years since I took my boys there. It used to be all attractions were free, but I think you do have to pay for some optional things now. The Watereorld is included though.
