Sainsbury energy £50 vouchers

Hi

I was in sainsburys yesterday and saw a leaflet saying if you switch to sainsbury energy you will get £50 sainsbury vouchers and nectar points.

Has anyone tried this? or as I suspect is it an expensive supplier and will up rates later on?

I don't know, I signed up thinking that i hadn't got round to it any other way but now Sainsbury's doesn't come up on the compare site that I went to. Does anyone have any advice?

Prices are the same as EDF Energy.

The added bonus is that you get £50 and nectar points. It depends on where you live and how much energy you use - thats the big advantage using the comparisons site - you know you 'local' supplier and can compare.

EDF is competitive in the southern and home counties - I think because thats where they are primarily based. Anywhere else in the country there is better deal with another supplier which will significantly outweigh the benefit of £50 vouchers and the nectar points.
