Chimney Sweep? Advice pls

I think I need a chimney sweep, My living room fireplace has a decorative board in front of it, I havent looked inside yet but the chimney stack is still on the roof so I assume it could be reopened.
As of this morning the chimney pot is in my front lawn(strong winds!:mad: ) so this has only increased my need to sort the fireplace and chimney out. I would like a woodburning stove there, so any advice please on how to start.
