Sat nav help.

Just bought a route66 mini regional sat nav. I was under the impression that there was an audible warning when approaching speed cameras but so far nothing except a small visual logo on the screen advising of the speed limit. Does anyone know if this model has an audible warning. Does it possibly only work when doing an A to B route or if it works in just general map mode.
Ive read the manual and checked the website but its not very user friendly or thorough.
Any help is appreciated.

Drive within the speed limit and you won't need any kind of warning.I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.0

who said that i exceeded the speed limit anyway clever clogs? No where in my post does it state as such. I just wish to ensure i get the maximum usage from a product i have purchased. One of the features on it is safety camera data. As such i wish to use this feature how it is intended.
Now its about time you clogged up the bank holiday traffic with your 25mph trip to the garden centre isnt it?0 -
Sorry. I couldn't answer your question, but I thought you left yourself wide open to the kind of self-righteous prissy reply that usually appears on this board, so I would get in first! Actually I drive much too fast myself, though I am trying to slow down if only to save fuel. So far I have not been caught by the scameras, but it is only a matter of time, and I could do with the sort of warning device you mention but I thought they were illegal these days?I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.0

Maybe it only works when you're speeding, which of course you don't. (Another prissy reply)This is an open forum, anyone can post and I just did !0

Have you tried doing a google search and also randomly going through all of the menus? There must be an option somewhere.Happy chappy0

i have tried googling the info which didnt help and tried lots of options on the actual sat nav itself which hasnt revealed any apparent audible warnings and the salesman at Halfords was 'really knowledgable' obviously!!
Just seems a bit odd not to have an audible warning and only a visual one as who drives round constantly looking at their sat nav??0 -
There will be an option somewhere in the menus to activate or silence the audible warning tone I am sure.
My Tom Tom has this feature but I dont know your sat nav so cant really help.
Most manufactures of sat navs have online help.........0
