Hi
Can anyone help me please? - I left my sun roof open all night and have woken up to torerential rain this morning. There' are pools of water in the car footwells and the seats are soaking wet. Just to add to my woes I'm off on holiday tomorrow and the car's booked into the long stay carpark. Can anyone offer advice on drying it out and what will happen while its left alone for a week? will it smell ? go mouldy?

find a friend with a wet and dry vac ie aquavac
that will pick up most of it,then lay plenty of newspaper over the floor while your away, this will then soak up the remainder
YOU OBVIOUSLY FORGOT HOW WET AN ENGLISH SUMMER CAN BE!!0 -
Probably too late for you now but when you get back try leaving trays of good quality cat litter in the car. These help to absorb smells and some of the moisture.0

If one had a de humidifier and a long extension lead, this would work too. Probably take only half a day. But as the last poster said "probably too late now" and not everybody has a dehumidifier of the right size (fits in the car) to use at the drop of a hat.0
