Pre-Owned White Goods

Can anybody recommend a supplier of second-hand white goods in West Oxfordshire.
Daughter is moving into first flat and needs WM / Cooker / FF, etc.
Along with carpets, this is getting quite expensive.
Have already scanned local papers, free-ads etc with no luck.

It's a long shot but try calling local domestic goods shops, by that I mean small independents who do repairs too. My uncle has one of these shops and used to do a nice sideline in supplying used appliances to buy to lets and for student flats.
How it works is they agree to collect the old appliance when they deliver a new one. Nine times out of ten there is nothing wrong with the old one just someone updating with more money than sense and the machines can be top spec and well looked after.
I know my uncle doesn't do this anymore, probably a liability thing, but it might be worth trying.
Another thought is to try calling those adverising house clearances and see what they have.0 -
Have you thought of her signing up for freecycle. Normally you have to offer an item first.
Link is: http://www.freecycle.org/
There are lots of local groups in the UK. The idea is that items get offered for free, the person accepting the offer collects. It began in the US to stop items that were still useful going to landfill sites.0
