Yes please, Martin.
I have been an executor twice now, and got the Which? book out of the library for the 1st one about 5 years ago. It was a useful read then, so I'd be interested to see the latest edition.0 -

So sorry to hear about your Mum, Jaybee. I've just finished tidying away my Dad's affairs, so I can sympathise on both fronts.
I mentioned in an earlier post that I got the Which? book on wills & probabte from the library a few years ago, when I was executor for my uncle's estate. It offers some very good advice for those that have to adminster the deceased estate, regardless of whether there is a will or not. It would be borrowing it for a week or so.
Secondly; sometimes I felt as though some organisations were being deliberately unhelpful; but it was probably that i was just a little fragile at the time. Please feel free to email me if you need a little advice or support. Again, I may not have the answer, but a trouble shared......0 -
Thanks mbamick. Sorry about your Dad. I know what you mean about dealing with some organisations - sometimes they seem to make me feel as though I'm doing something wrong! I guess that's why people hand all this stuff over to solicitors - I don't think they would get questioned quite as much!0
