Central locking: Passengers door will not open.

Hi, I have a Vaxhall vectra Automatic. The front passengers door is stuck and will not open. The central locking works on the other doors ok, but not this door. I have tried pulling the door thing up, but it just will not budge. Does any one have any idea's please? Would a squirt of WD 40 be of any use, or would that mess up the works. Please help someone. Thank you.

My guess is if it can be unlocked with the key, but not with the interior door push, that the central locking actuator has had it.

Hi, The trouble is that there is not keyhole on the passengers side. Would a squirt of WD40 be any use? If not i think that i would have to take it to a garage, hope that it woun't be costly. What do you reckon?

Probably the central locking solenoid. If not that, it'll be the wiring plug. If so, replace with one from scrappers.

where are you going to squirt the wd40?

getting the door card off to repair the problem will be the hardest part as you will need the door open to do this.

OK, thanks for your advice. I haven't really thought of where to squirt the wd40, just thought that where the door pull up thing was, on reflection, it probably wouldn't work any way, so i will have to get the garage to take a look. Thanks again for your advice. It,s not really the end of the world,as i can still open the other door at the back.
