Ordered mine earlier this week and got it gift wrapped so fingers crossed no tax!!

this makes no difference as a) i cant imagine you can see its gift wrapped from the outside (presumerably will come in brown box/wallet etc) B) it wont be marked on the customs form as a gift as you have bought it from the company, it isnt a gift from them to you and C) even if its stated as a gift if its above £35 you normally (not always but normally) get charged.

of course if uve spent less than £35 u may well be ok!

My order just arrived this morning - no duty.

As suggested I went to the Buh-Buys sections and bought the best of benefit: beauty bag essentials
With the exchange rate it cost just £20.42 so I've saved over £30!

    Yay!
  • Hi, if you use the code RUSHHR45 you get a free rush hour lipstick with orders over $45!
I ordered the set with the dallas powder, eye bright pencil and mascara, and a conceler and got the lipstick free. So I worked out I'm getting £84 worth of makeup for $65, thats less than half the price they'd cost if i brought them over here.

HI, i want to use the rushhr45 discount code, but with having to spend over $45 the order would be subject to tax... possibly anyway depending wether you are lucky or not!

Whether you get charged duty or not seems to be random. A few years ago I took part in a soap swap (I make soap) with some forum friends. Two of us were in the UK and our swap boxes were coming from the US. Despite the fact that the contents of the boxes were identical, I had to pay duty but the other girl didn't.

That's because they can't catch everyone.
You should be paying duty but one of you managed to get away with your without paying it.
I've edited out crime as I'm not 100% sure whether it's a criminal offence or ot, but I suspect that evasion of paying proper taxes is an offence. Just one you probably won't get caught or prosectued for.
