whats the best digital camera please?

I had a samsung 8.2 megapixel one but I broke it and am gutted cos loved it!! it was from comet and cost £80 on their deal!! lol

anyway I drop it an the screen has gone :( - can't be fixed can it?

so what can I buy thats cheaper or round the same price but really good! lol

    canon outlet on ebay for refurbs. A570 A710 etc etc
    canons from 7dayshop.

    I guess it's a matter of opinion of what's really good out there. I bought an 8mp Vivitar camera from Ebuyer for under £50 about a month ago and I love it to bits. Here's the link http://www.ebuyer.com/product/119010

    Have a look at the price comparisons on www.camerapricebuster.co.uk

    There are lots of threads on the MSE Tech forum regarding digi-cams, will be worth a search.

    There is no definitely answer, it's like asking what is the best car, everyone has their own preferences.

    Personally I'd stick to Canon, Nikon, Panasonic etc. And always go for a camera with good optics, over and above any large megapixel cheaper camera with inferior optics.

    Lots of cameras on the Canon Outlet on ebay and lots on at the 7dayshop too.
