Yep, Borders student discount days are one of the best way to buy textbooks, I've found. If you go in about a week or two beforehand, they will order any obscure titles you require and hold them for you until the student discount day (although I think last time I did this they make you pay a deposit of £5 or so per book at time of ordering, to ensure you do actually buy it from them and they don't get left with books they can't sell).
They seem to have a student discount day (or days) within the first few weeks of each term.
BTW Borders and Books etc. are the same company, although Borders stores are larger.student100 hasn't been a student since 2007...0
