Alliance & Leicester Account with Online Saver

I currently use the older A&L Current Account linked to an online saver - and t/f money quickly and easily between accounts as and when needed.

Now I see that the rate is only 4.7% gross.

Which is the best bank to move to with a decent rate and a quick t/f time between current account and saver account?

Or should I start planning better between my current account and an alternative bank savings account? (Presumably 3 days t/f time suing BACS)?

Thanks!

If you're chasing a rate and nothing else, go for one of the eSaver accounts available; I hear Bradford and Bingley are a good'un, but like you say there'll be BACS transfer times to deal with.
