    Hiya :)

In the Cooking section of the MEGA Index sticky we have a few threads listed under "Healthy eating" that might provide some ideas, and a couple more listed under "low fat" and even us meat eaters can enjoy vegetarian dishes (even if used as new ways to have side dishes) though not all veggie food is low cal so you'll have to pick and choose :)

  • I think I might have to go check out some those recipes myself pretty soon! I'd lost around half a stone over the last couple of weeks but all this curry sampling will soon have that back on again if I'm not careful

And all because I love all you MSE'rs so much that I want to provide quick and easy curry recipes for you all :D :rotfl:

Well I've brushed off healthy eating tonight and about to send DS to the chippy :D

Other than that ermmm ... salad, steamed veggies, fish, chicken ... 'fraid can't think of any particular recipe as such off the top of my head, but I tend to reduce/cut out carbs and eat tons of salad/veggies with a moderately sized piece of protein when I want to eat a healthy meal

At the top of the Old Style forum listing are the threads with a stick pin beside them. I know you know this C_Q but not everybody does!

Anyway, one of the stickies is called The MEGA Index.

Click on that. Scroll down to "Cooking" and click on the button there...

..then look for "healthy eating" and "low fat..."

    :)

To be honest I hadn't even noticed that thread :o ... must be something you did in my absence! It was only recently I noticed that I could get to the recipe index from the blue bar above, which is what I use to access it!

Try under beans and pulses for healthy meals. Loads of stuff under there.

MOH made Red Dragon Pie tonight, bit like a veggie shepherds pie. It was out of an old veggie cook book from student days, but I think I saw a recipe on a thread here. Basically Aduki beans, carrots, onions, dash of soya sauce and a bit of worcs saice. Topped off with some mashed potatoes. Loads left for lunch tomorrow.
:idea:I got an idea, an idea so smart my head would explode if I even began to know what I was talking about:idea:

    Yep. :)

I get the micky taken out of me every time I do it these days but I was regularly posting the following to make sure new readers (and returnees :)) could find things easily.

You can find INDEXNAME/CHALLENGENAME in our "Indexed Collections" sticky at the top of the forum listing, or you can follow the clue in my signature any time you see it or...

..you can use the Indexed Collections link in the Blue Bar at the top of every page which looks something like this:-
