Majon hair salon voucher

Last week I bought one of these vouchers which entitles you to four treatments - two visits to each of their two salons. One is for a haircut, one for highlights, one for a facial and one for a manicure, with various other things included in each visit. The total cost was £55. I don't usually buy things like this, but I had been thinking about getting my hair highlighted anyway so it seemed like a good deal. The guy who sold it to me said I could use the four visits IN ANY ORDER. I even queried this with him because I said I wanted highlights done in the next couple of weeks (before my holiday), and had only recently had my hair cut so I wouldn't need that visit right away. He said no problem, just phone the salon and tell them you want to book 'Visit B' first. I tried that, and guess what... you have to use visit A before you can use visit B. The voucher is therefore totally useless and I'd rather just pay for highlights somewhere else.
I have tried phoning the company who run the promotion (Ad-efx) to get a refund, seeing as their rep lied to me, but they don't answer the phone or reply to messages. I have now emailed them but no reply as yet. Did a Google search and found an article on a complaint website about them, which lists their postal address. But they seem to have a bad reputation, what if they just keep ignoring me? Is there anything I can do?
