£470 electricity bill!

I’ve just been sent a bill by e-on for £470 for a quarter, I’m sure this can't be right but is there anything i can do to question it?
Originally i was sent one for £360 which was an estimate so i called up with my readings and it's come back even more expensive.
I can't see how this can be as I live on my own in a two bedroom apartment and rarely have the heating on, my apartment is all electricity but is a new build and an apartment which means it doesn’t take much to heat.
Does this bill seem reasonable to anybody, as I simply can't afford to pay it so I want to know if it's feasible?
Thanks everyone

Make sure the meter they are reading is connected to your flat!
Turn everthing off and then go and see if your meter is moving - if it is call them out and get it checked out.
Good luck - that is an astronomical billThe best way to escape a problem is to solve it :j0 -
Was the start reading on the bill an actual or an estimate.0

So presumably you underpaid the previous quarter due to not giving them the actual reading. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
It does seem high but as espesso said it could be because you underpaid.
You are best giving them your own readings on a monthly basis if you can0 -
i moved in nov 26th, same as new build 2 bed all elec. The meter was read before i moved in on the 12th nov. Bill from then till feb 7th was £196, apparently this was estimated, so thats 2 months. Just recieved a bill from feb 8th till last week £634..... is this right?? over £800 is 6 months.... again E-on0

Why is this down to e-on? If you live in an all electric build, you have to accept that electricity is the most expensive form of heating. Cheap and easy for the developer to install but they don't have to pay the bills! You should read your meter regularly and it's easy to work out your actual expenditure from the number of kWh consumed and the cost per kWh unit. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
been asking the agency for 2 weeks where the meter is. They read it from fob thing on the front wall. To add to it ive just lost my job0
