I want to download a programme ( free if possible ) to size a picture taken with a digital camera to a passport size photo.
(Hope I've made some sense  )
Thanks in advance

The standard passport size is: W 35mm x H 45mm
You should be able to use the resize function in any graphics program to achieve this.If you're feeling down, you must be holding a duck.0 -
If you are intending to use the picture for a UK passport application please ensure that you get it printed out onto proper photographic paper by taking into a lab where they have the digital kiosk machines hooked up to a digital minilab. The passport office will probably reject anything that is printed out on inkjet paper.
All you will have to do is create you image to the passport size and then create another image 6"x4"@300dpi, copy and paste it on twice onto the image area of the 6x4 and take that file in. Alternatively the kiosk machine may have a setting to use your original digital image and resize it automatically itself to the passport size. It will be worth checking that out beforehand0 -
Skippy, not necessary to take it to a kiosk.
We printed ours out at home on photo paper and passport office had no problem accepting them.Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

If you take the photo on a CD ROM or possibly a memory stick to somewhere like Supasnaps they have Kodak kiosks which allow you to edit the photo, resize it, change colour etc. and then print about 6 passport sized photos all for 32 pence!
The Passport office will definately accept these and the assistants in Supasnaps can advise you on getting the colours etc right.0 -
