Hi

CD WOW's deal for today is 12% off gift vouchers

I was dead excited for pressies for 3 difficult to buy for fairly distant teen rellies

HOWEVER - they are email vouchers - and are sent out when ordered (ie today only) I was expecting a credit card sized thing and wanting to put them in cards (and I dont know the email addys of the recipients)

Any ideas how these work? I was thinking of having them all emailed to me, then printing them off - this would work if it is just a code, or is it somehow tied to the recipient's email?

I've emailed CDWOW, but aren;t expecting a reply before the offer expires

Grateful for any help on this

CDWOW having been getting some bad press on these forums recently. I used them a while ago with no problems, but more recent users seem to have had issues.

Worth doing a search to check.

I think it would be a series of letters and numbers to make a unique code, which you'd enter at the checkout. Pretty sure it won't be tied to the e-mail as that would defeat the idea of gift vouchers!!

You'd be best to perhaps glue the printed code into a Xmas card or similar to make it wrappable.

That said, also check what jbro is saying, as I to have seen some less favourable comments around CDwow recently

I have used cd wow this christmas with no problems.
The codes are unique for each voucher so no problems with printing them and giving them out, they arent tied to an email address you just type in gift voucher code at checkout to spend - I've done this before with other sites when I've not know email addresses of the reciepent with no problems.
You should be fine doing this.
