Tesco Credit Card

Hi, first time to use MSE so hopefully doing it correctly!! Looking some advice please. I have a Tesco Finance c/card which I use a lot. I believe it is a royal bank of scotland product. My bank is in N Ireland but I live in the midlands. I want to pay cash off my visa card more than once a month (I get my giro slip on my statement) but both Tesco and RBS are telling me that is not possible. I assumed I could have a simple lodgement book, like with a current account. But with my northern Irish visa I could take my card and cash into my branch and just say credit my visa please. Any ideas if this is correct, and if so I want to change my card to a bank who can provide me with this facility.
