You can treat it as damage done by an unknown party. Whilst it does sound very likely that he did it, it is also plausible that he didn't and some other scrote did it.Happy chappy0

more neighbour trouble anewman, they sound like dicks, anyway the wire rope idea sounds like a good one, even attatch it to the back axle and watch him speed off!
that would be good to watch,if you do it video it and stick it on you tube!...work permit granted!0 -
Traffic PCSO's came, quite surprised they were eager to come out. The usual we can go ask them what's happened but they'll deny it and they'll probably be less neighbourly than they already are. At least it's on record in case something else happens.0

If only there was something non-obvious I could tie it to...0 -
I had some idiot hit my car on Thursday only noticed it one Thursday night slight black mark on lhs rear wing near the wheel also slight chip of paint on wheel arch. It wasnt there other day as I spend a lot of time cleaning car and actually polished the day before.
It was done in supermarket car park, I normally park near far end so as to avoid this, but when I aprked in the idiot to the left as I drive front way so as to load in back from car park was parked slightly off centre. Next time I will back right at the fare end further away. I also avoid parking near wider vehicles and 4X4's as I find most of them dont give a stuff
I manage to polish the black marks of just a very slight chip of paint0 -

I've taken to parking midway in two spaces, selfish I know but 'every little helps'
Hasn't stopped both my cars getting keyed in the nice road where we live thoI think....0 -
Will describe everything as I remember it.
There was an argument next door at approx 0.30 - 1 am. My car alarm goes off, I go to look out of window and couple who visit next door arguing. He tries to start his car a few times and won't let woman in the car. Eventually starts and reverses like a nutter and drives off.
I have also in the past seen this guy get out of his car, in my unexpert opinion drunk, holding a beer bottle.
Go to car now and rear wing is bent in so it's obviously been kicked on the rear offside wing. I also have noticed a passport sized picture of a child on the ground so can only assume that had something to do with their argument. I have their reg number. Would I gain anything by reporting this to the police and/or insurance company or is it a waste of time?
I just pushed the wing back out from the inside but it's still obvious it's been kicked in. Although there's not too much damage I am not happy about it and would like to get him to pay for his actions if I can. But I get the feeling the police won't be interested and neither will the insurance company as it didn't involve a car accident.
If not any ideas what I could do to their car when/if I see it again? It's only a M reg peugot 306 xl. Brake fluid perhaps?
Obviously, think of neighbourhood issues.0 -

Maybe someone doesn't like you hogging 2 spaces?
In a supermarket carpark it's not too bad as there's 1000's of spaces normally, but I can see it being vexing somewhere with limited parking. Not that that's a valid reason of course.0 -
I once parked in two spaces in B&Q had my disabled daughter with us, and all blue badge spaces (3 of them were full)0

Basically all the police will give you is a ref number, it boils down to 2 caterogies, criminal and civil, in criminal case it has to be proven beyond reasonable doubt, ie you need to of witnessed the incident, they may speak to your neighbours and explain you had ur car damaged, the neighbour denies it......... end of case........ if it was a civil case ie you wanted to bring a private claim against the other driver, then it only has to be the probability of it happening, ie they were argueing, there was a photo that belongs to them.
It is frustrating, we have issues with our neighbours, 2 mths ago, the blokes gf got on her mood, had a go at me threatened to kill me, I reported it to the police, (who did absolutely nothing), within 30 mins of the police seeing them then us, I went to go out in my car, what a surprise my car had been keyed all down the drivers side, called the police again, but becuase I never saw anyone doing it, its just one of those things!!
Is it a one off incident or an ongoing complaint with them.xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0
