Is Strathclyde good for telecommunication engineering

I attend strathclyde, I am an EEE student, its top in scotland for EEE. It has a good gym and sports center, right in the center of the campus. It has a huge student union, and a good campus. The lecturers in the EEE dept are all really good, and the library is huge. It has 4 floors (maybe 5) and has a big selection of electronics/comms books.
I have never really been in the gym, but I think it has been there a while, but all the feedback i have heard from people is it is good. Strathclyde also has its own swimming pool.
Glasgow is a nice city, the people and friendly and helpful, and strathlcyde is right in the city center at George Square, its 2 mins walk from Queens Street station, wheras Glasgow is way out in the west end of glasgow.
If you email any of the telecoms people at strathclyde, about doing an MSc they will be very helpful towards you.

I have only had limited contact with the DMEM at my time at strathclyde, but it seems like a well organiazed dept, the one lecturer I had was very good, and as for the placements I think one lecturer handles them all and dishes them out. Again, if you emailed someone in the dept, they would be able to help.0 -

Hey in reply to ^^^ There are plenty of EEE jobs in scotland, plenty of placements available too, there are loads of Semi-Con companies up in the center of scotland, in a place called Silicon Glen, thats where most of the semi-con action is to be found.
I dont really know any DMEM students, could you not ask the lecturer to refer you to a student in a similar situation to you? I doubt a student would mind answering some questions for you.
I hope this helps!0 -
