  • I also have the rates if needed by the OP if they actually live with a partner, I have only based my post on a single applicant.
  • If you have been out of work for some time and are returning to the labour market, even if you do not have dependants or a disability, you may still qualify for Working Tax Credit if you have been registered as unemployed. So, actually Shelley UK is not giving out duff information. If this is the case you could get an In Work Benefit Calculation done by an advisor in JobcentrePlus to give an approximate figure as to how much you would get. It is this In Work Benefit Calculation that this advice is based on. There are other questions to answer-eg if you have received any income in any of the two previous tax years, but you would be asked these by the advisor during the interview.
