Problems depositing money into Cahoot savings ?

Hi,

I arranged two deposits to take money from my prearranged direct debit non-cahoot account on 11th Sep. The money should have been deposited into my cahoot savings on the 16th Sep, however nothing has happened. Its now been 6 working days and I would have thought the transactions would have been authourised by now. Wondered if anyone else is having problems depositing money ?

I've just this second applied for a Cahoot savings account and I completed an online Direct Debit to allow payments into the account from a non-Cahoot current account.

Yes, one of my family members has come across this problem. He arranged for a deposit to come out every week, well in advance using the pre-arranged direct debits facility. This worked ok for many months, then in July this year, it stopped collecting the money and hasn't worked for him since. He now does it all via BACS, as he doesn't trust direct debits anymore. The Cahoot direct debit did appear on his list of DD's when we checked it online, so the mandate has not been deleted.

I think he plans to investigate, but just hasn't gotten around to it. When I instigate a pre-arranged direct debit between my non-Cahoot current account to my savings account it works fine. Very odd.
