Can anyone help with this one.
I downloaded the new version of itunes last night and now when i connect to the internet it says it cannot find server! it detects my wireless network but i cannot get on the internet. I am using an Apple ibook. I decided to download the itunes update on my windows laptop and the same thing has happened!!
There is nothing wrong with my wireless network as I can connect to it with my PDA
Hope someone out there can help me!

ok, firstly, please forgive me if any of this is obvious to you.
Make sure you can ping your router to ensure the gateway is operational
start-
run
type cmd in the run box then enter
In the command box type 'ip config' to display your IP info
The IP displayed for your defualt gateway is the router so you need to type:
eg. ping 192.168.1.1
press 'Enter'
You are looking for a reply to the IP
If no reply, you need to check your network connections.
From desktop:
My network places
View network connections
Right click present connection and repair
Ive seen the problem where the network card in the laptop switches itself off, this should sort the problem.
If the router replies, your internet settings have been altered by what you have downloaded. In that case i would speak to your ISP for the relevant settings to reconnect.
Hope this helps0 -
Depending on what router you have, some( d link + buffalo especially) seem to 'lose' you username and password every now and again . About once a month i have to overtype the information , seems to do the trick! Don't know why it happens, just know it seems to work for me!0
