 Hello fellow members, I think those who are having the LLOYDS TSB AIRMILES problems (like me) should click the below link. This is the page that was sent to me and which I clicked onto to apply for the cards.. THE FRAUDSTERS TAKE YOU TO A LLOYDS TSB LINK, so immediately you are not valid for the airmiles as this doesn't meet the criteria for an application to go through successfully.
They bumped us folks!!!!
By clicking on this site you are applying through the Lloyds TSB site NOT through the AIRMILES SITE which THEN DOES NOT validate your claim.
Have a look, I have just checked and sent an email to Airmiles stating just this!!! I'm furious as I received my statement this morning with something like 20 airmiles total.....I called both Airmiles and LLoyds (20 MINS )and both said the other was to blame!!! Nothing they could do..that I should write a complaint letter to Lloyds, WELL I'M FED UP WITH IT ALL.
I HOPE THIS HELPS OUT;)
Good luck
Heather

The actual link is:
https://secure.lloydstsb.com/credit_card/application.asp?cardtype=Airmiles%20Duo&affiliateid=Airmiles1500&WT.mc_id=Air07125
So Lloyds do know you came from the airmiles site, note this bit: &affiliateid=Airmiles1500'.
If it didn't recognise you came from airmiles (you wouldn't be able to tell), then it's either your browsers cookie settings, or a fault with Lloyds' website. i would give them a call and mention it to get your 1500 miles...0 -
Thanks Sparky7, but whats your link for?????????????????
Mines already in the process....the complaint that is
i just want to help those wo have had the same rubbish happen to them.0 -

The link i've put up shows the exact problem!!!
Dunno what your link is about...i'm not appyling....this is to complain!!!!!!!!0 -
I don't see what the problem is OP.
The link you provide takes you to the airmiles site which then provides a link to apply, you'll notice in that link is the required information - namely
"affiliateid=Airmiles1500&WT.mc_id=Air07125"
It is an "affiliated" credit card run by Lloyds TSB hence why airmiles re-direct you there to do the application with "affiliateid=Airmiles1500&WT.mc_id=Air07125" coded into the web address so LLoyds TSB know where you have clicked through from.
If you delete everything after (and including) the "?" in the address sparky gave, you still apply for a credit card just that there is no way of tracking where the link was created.
Nothing underhand - most affiliate applications work in the exact same way (it is a similar system that funds the MSE site with the * links
Airmiles are not a CC company so you will not "apply" on their site as the application will take place on Lloyds TSB's secure servers
MPI have a poll / discussion on Economy 7 / 10 off-peak usage (as a % or total) and ways to improve it but I'm not allowed to link to it so have a look on the gas/elec forum if you would like to vote or discuss.

I had exactly the same problem - I applied supposedly through a link to Airmiles to apply for my new credit card and 1500 free airmiles. I received the cards and used them as directed but checking statement the 1500 miles were no-where to be found. I phoned numerous times and both Lloyds and Airmiles blamed each other. I was advised to cancel my current cards and re-apply through the correct channels which I did.
Upon receiving my new cards I used them as directed. Still, no airmiles materialised. Phoned both companies again, and was told by Lloyds because I had cancelled and reapplied I was no longer eligible for the 1500 miles. I told them these were my instructions from a previous Lloyds call, but still they stuck to it.
After six months, numerous letters and long sessions on the phone I wrote one last letter to customer services (Lloyds). I received a letter a week later stating that in these circumstances I would get the miles (by way of a redeemable voucher). I got the miles a week later.
Neither company wanted to take responsibility, but in the end it seems that you need to claim through Lloyds.0 -
You know you have to spend money on the card (Something like £10 on the AMEX) to actually qualify for the miles. Lloyds TSB won't just give you the miles for applying its after first use. So indeed they were right not to give the miles.
Here is a quote from their website, so indeed you do need to spend on the card (You never mentioned you did)AirMiles_site wrote:How to get your 1500 Airmile voucher
Just spend £10* or more on the Lloyds TSB Airmiles Duo American Express® Card by 31 December 2008 and we’ll add the voucher to your account. When you use your 1500 mile voucher all we ask is that you book a night in any of our hotels at the same time as you book your flights through AIRMILES.
Asked Lloyds as I have that card and they said it could take upto end of december for them to apply the points (when the offer closes)
heavenlygee, it is a really slanderous (Or is it liablous?) to call the Airmiles company/Lloyds TSB Bank fraudsters as it seems you didnt complete the criteria to complete the offer.0
