Accounts that can be sub divided

Options
Does anyone know where I can find an account (hopefuly online) that can be subdivided.
I need to be able to collect & save different amounts in an account for a Golf holiday I am organising.
Halifax online used to have this facility but I cant find one now.
Cheers and Thanks in advance.

I think you can still have up to 5 web savers with Halifax. Different rates etc.

Sainsburys Internet savings let you open more than one account and you can transfer money immediately between those accounts. You can also name the accounts.. unfortunately their interest rates have dropped and aren't very competitive (5.5% I think compared to market leading 6.5% for savings). Depends how much you have as to whether the 1% makes a difference (minimum £1 for account).. they are only savings though so no direct debits etc.. just transfer in/out or by post I think..

Egg Moneys interest rate is even lower 4% and not sure about separating funds.

I'm interested in having this facility too - kind of like virtual accounts to separate your money held within one account - useful for budgeting (a bit like "envelope budgeting").

I believe ING Direct allows up to 10 instant access savings accounts... the interest rates aren't terribly great though

not quite subdividing, but I think if you set up a 'main account' with them to transfer in money, you can then move money instantly between the other accounts

    Hope that helps

There's a spread sheet by Eager Learner if you do a search and it enables you to use one savings account, but the spread sheet has cashpots so you can have so many catagories for each item your saving for. For instance mine has like christmas, car maintainance, emergency fund. But I have all my money in one savings account, A & L Esaver.

Why not just do the subdivision in a spreadsheet?
    Happy chappy
