Gmail Accounts

Is it possible to get a new Gmail account or is it by invitation only?
It only states they are testing on the Gmail site!
If it is by invite only, please could someone send me one.
Thanks,
Martini

• have you tried using google talk yet ? anyone ? . I have tried with no sucess
• I've been using it for a couple of weeks and find it really good. My son lives in America and it is fantastic to be able to talk to him any time and for as long as I want for absolutely nothing. The quality is excellent. I only have a cheap headset - £9 from Currys - but he can even hear the noise of the dog walking about on the laminate floor!
• Hi, could someone invite me to use Gmail as I am tired on MSN and have heard a great deal about Gmail.
Thanx
• I've pm'd you.

People in the UK who accept new invites won't get the email address "@gmail.com" anymore because of some legal dispute with a UK company over the copyright to the word Gmail here! Although those who already have an @gmail.com will be able to keep them.

Seems the new email addys will be @googlemail.com, but all the features and 2.5GB+ inbox remains the same.

Hi People may I also add that you cannot send .exe files over Gmail which can be
a bit of a pain in an otherwise near perfect system.....

I however the other day found this site https://www.zoom.co.uk and signed up an account
as Pay As You Go wrote down the details i.e pop3.zoom.co.uk and smtp.zoom.co.uk
and username and password.. but didnt click finish so I didnt change my ISP then just added a new e-mail account manually in Outlook Express with the details..

Also there is webmail where you can change your password..http://www.zoom.co.uk/zoomVII/email.html and this zoom account gives you webmail, webspace and other options aswell as sending and recieving attachments.....
