E-on Price Protection query
I'm with NPower (groan) and thinking of changing to E-on who seem to be the best suggestions from energywatch etc.
I'm looking at the capped (price protection) option. I believe that this is not a fixed term one, so in theory I could switch if I change my mind in the future.
This is fixed until 2009 - does anyone know if there are any better deals elsewhere - eg. longer fixed term, better customer service etc. I have been searching this site for the last 2 hours and am getting information overload symptoms.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I want to do this as soon as possible (yes, I listened to Martin this morning) but don't want to any rash decision.

Scottish Power have price fix until end of Feb 2011.
Was available via switching sites and cashback sites, but now only available by phoning up, take it this is due to them not having to pay the £30 - £60 or so kickbacks / cashbacks.
The link below lists the prices.

I managed to switch via cashback, but only my electric as for my use there was quite a bit of a difference in the gas price, so am going to risk that and simply cut down, plus it's hardly used in the warmer months. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0 -

I have not have a very good year with NPower and have had problems with British Gas in the past but don't want to jump from the proverbial frying pan!
Can anybody help, please0 -
I`ve never had any problems with Eon, I never accept estimated bill and read it myself monthly. I am on the price protection 2009 and do it all online.0

I am looking at going with Eon's price protection 2009 option.
Is it better to go through moneysupermarket and get £30 dual fuel cashback, or go through quidco and get up to 10%
Or do I have any other choices? I'm new to forums, cashback, etc. and feeling abit overwhelmed by all the information.
