Twelve Weeks to Pay 1K!!
Comments

It has been a strange week...!! i have had a friend stay due to problems he is ,going through and haven't been as money saving as I would have liked
however, he has now gone back home and although I am skint, at least my [STRIKE]next month [/STRIKE] payday is not too far away...:D
I am cooking a pot roast for dinner tomorrow..haven't got a clue what I am doing tonight as dd is back from boyfriends this evening and not sure if she is eating here or not...must phone her and find out!!! House looks like a bomb site at the moment so will probably spend most of the day clearing it!!!
I know what you mean mappygirl....Not doing too well on the card front either...car decided to be a pain this week and have had to put £40 on card until we get paid on friday and pay that off...however, getting close to the £600 mark so pleased with that...intend to pay another big sum off it when payday arrives and hopefully get rid of it sooner than my 12 week target :j
Not an awful lot else to say, I will post again tomorrow when I have decided on the weeks menu!
Take care xx0 -
Hey Frazz, well done on what you've achieved so far. The receipes sound lovely - and your storecupboards are certainly stocked up enough to give you some leeway.
Don;t forget to put some of that clutter to one side for ebayDon't get disheartened, some days you find the etra, some days you don't. At least the debts not going up!!
This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!
Current Pay Off Target : £1500 :mad:0 -
aargh!!! its all gone wrong over the past couple of weeks  !!
First the car is a nightmare, then my washing machine decides to slip the mortal coil, then my daughters 'leaving school / completing GCSE' meal ended up being a total disaster and costing the earth...ds has also quit his job so my expenses will rise again as he will be eating at home every day and my friend is in total crisis and i am spending a fortune in petrol travelling to and from his house to help him out (perhaps i should have had huskies rather than greyhounds!!)......outcome as per usual, one step forward and six billion back!!!
Okay, rant over, no point in being miserable about it..just need to get my head around where i am and start getting back on the wagon...feel like putting my head in a bucket (preferably of Jack Daniels and Coke:D ) but will be brave and tackle it all head on!
So, cc is nowhere near as 'paid off' as it should be, but i will not be knocked off course completely...am determined to pay it off within my allocated 12 weeks....even if i have to sell the hounds and kids on e-bay :rotfl: (i'm joking...honest...no need to phone Esther!!) I have managed to pay a reasonable amount off so far and thankfully had enough savings to be able to order washing machine and pay without increasing debt so not too disappointed i suppose....just wish that i could go at least a couple of months without having yet another crisis arising!!!:o
having chicken soup and bread for dinner this evening...all from the freezer so no expense incurred...may have to start again on future dinner plans though to incorporate extra mouth to feed....wish it was friday!!
hope you are all well.....xxx0 -
Hi Frazz just to let you know we all have times like this and nothing goes right. Keep treading water and things will look up soon.

thanks lucille...just wish they didn't seem to happen quite as often as they do!!
have decided that i am going to be really lazy on saturday but rework the menus on sunday when dd is home and can tell me when she intends to be at home over the next couple of weeks...she spends so much time around her bf's at the moment, she has completed her exams and I have a feeling that i won't see her much before she goes to college in sept!!
have been treated to a nice bottle of lovely stuff  (sheridans...haven't been able to have it for the past 9 years as was vegan, but had some the other night and fell back into total, desperate love with it again...ds bought me a bottle today because he is lovely (and perhaps after something, but i'll give him the benefit of the doubt :A ) which i am going to indulge in very shortly to give myself a bit of a break from the ongoing traumas which are the dfw lifestory.....:rotfl:0 -
 What is the point!!!! :wall:......Okay, not as depressed as the dramatic opening suggets...but, honestly, why oh why does the rug keep being pulled out from underneath my feet?!!
I had got to a really good position, had an emergency savings back up and was paying huge amounts from the debt but then...........
the car didn't get any better..it completely died on me and I have had to have major work done to it stripping me of most of my savings and maxing out the cc again....
my dh car is due its MOT next month and I have had to dip into the money for that to get my car sorted......
the electric company won't let me switch without clearing my outstanding balance and I have spent all month paying off large sums (£300 over two weeks) only to be given another bill and, to date, they are still yet to switch me  ....
and....
I am shortly to run out of oil so have to find another £300 for that!! :wall:
So.....not too impressed at the moment...decided to get the next two months out of the way with as little damage as possible and then will start the challenges again...in fact...I won't be visiting the boards other than to dip in now and again until I get myself back on an even keel...thanks to everyone who joined me on this journey and I hope to see you again in a couple of months....hopefully with a better tale to tell....:rotfl:0 -
Sorry to hear you have been having a trying time. I will wait for you to come back. Just keep your chin up.
