I'm 8 months pregnant and got accosted in Sainsburys to switch. I have my gas with NPower and Elect with Good Energy. The guy wasn't really pushy, but said that Martin Lewis had recommended EDF and that as prices were going up very soon by 35%, EDF's capped prices until JAN 2010 would definitely save me money. WAs he telling the truth? Any advice greatly appreciated

Their online only available via comparison sites tariff was v1 - v4 from 2003 until early this year and v5 when available for a few months this year. If on pre-payment they are one of the cheaper ones, can't see them listed as price capped though. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0

Just had them ring to confirm what I had signed today, and they confirmed they are price capping until Dec 31st 2009, but only for people who have signed by today.0

Maybe it was some special tariff available to a few people / areas, and like many tariffs are quickly dropped to new customers. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc...
