Lakeland Dryer balls?

Has anyone got practical experience of Lakeland Dryer Balls ? Are they really good, how long do they last, are they value for money?
Do they leave any sort of residue that could aggrovate allergies (my little one comes out in a terrible rash when I use any fabric softener, so we've been getting used to rockhard towels, sheets etc.....these balls might be a godsend for us but £10 sounds a lot)

We've not used the dryer balls you mention, but as noone else has replied to your post I thought I'd stick in my two penn'orth.
We regularly use tennis balls (usually £1 for 3 in poundshops!) in the tumble dryer to fluff up pillows, etc.

I use tennis balls in the tumble dryer, three, (Tesco for 87p). Just to restore loft in my down jackets when they have been washed. Works a treat. Perhaps you could blitz them with something so the smell would impregnate the clothing while it's drying. Just a thought.“Ordinary riches can be stolen, real riches cannot.
